Target Product Divisions
Target merchandise is organized within the following Divisions:
▪ Apparel & Accessories (A&A) = Apparel, accessories, handbags, jewelry, footwear etc.
▪ Hardlines = Products that are not apparel, accessories or domestics. Toys, luggage, sporting goods,
electronics and entertainment, home décor, stationery, etc.
▪ Health & Beauty = Skin, cosmetics, hair care, pharmacy, personal care, etc.
▪ Home = Bedding, bath, window & other domestics
▪ Target HPB/HB brand consists of all products characterized by the HPB/HB packaging and is usually
merchandised near an identified comparable national brand. HPB/HB products can include Hardlines or
Health & Beauty items

Scope of SGS Approval
Testings
All SGS Labs are approved for “Target Brand” Multi-Stage Testing (MST) on finished products(including
Hardlines, Softlines and Electricals).
There are certain areas of the business that require testing to be conducted at specific labs.
Inspections
▪ SGS is the exclusive inspection provider for footwear
▪ SGS is approved for FPT random sampling for mills
▪ SGS is approved for inspections in random locations in Europe and Middle East, such as Spain, Sweden,
France, Luxemburg, Israel, etc
▪ SGS is approved for SL, HL, EE inspection for certain factories in North China since Jan 2022.
Audits
▪ SGS is approved for Industry Scheme audits, such as SMETA, BSCI, HIGG
▪ SGS is approved for SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative)
